Vision
A clearer way to find a deal
WiseDealing was created as a one-stop destination for online deals. The goal is to simplify shopping with a comprehensive, constantly updated database of offers from multiple retailers.
Backend system
A shared foundation for product data
The backend continuously fetches, categorizes, and standardizes product and deal data from retailers. The data is stored and updated daily; Node.js, Express.js, serverless functions, and Node NLP support the pipeline and automated categorization.
Frontend experience
Search across stores in one place
The Next.js frontend lets people search or browse by product name, brand, category, or store. Multisearch runs real-time searches across multiple websites to help people compare prices and find deals.
User interaction
Browse and compare with less friction
People can browse or search products by category, brand, or name. The work focused on a clear interaction flow, integrating the features, and optimizing performance and navigation.
My role
As the full-stack developer, I managed frontend and backend development. I built the backend to fetch product data, categorize it with a custom Node NLP model, and store it in a standardized format.
